Music Themed Boho Wedding: Chelsea & Tyler
We’re the founders of SoundViz and we just got married this summer on July 16th in our hometown of San Diego. We wanted to share our music inspired wedding day with our lovely readers because you have helped us get to where we are today and inspire us, even on our wedding day! Inspiration Tyler and I have always shared a mutual love for music. Tyler has grown up creating and producing music and I spend hours listening to music and going to shows. After being together for a few years our passions intertwined and we started this company together. When we were thinking about inspiration for our wedding there was no question that we wanted our love for sound to shine through in all the little details. Favorite Photos
Favorite Memory By far our favorite part of the day was cocktail hour. We had old-school hip-hop playing from an old boom box we painted gold. As a reward for making it through the maze, there were mini Fireball shots for everyone. We have some really special memories from that maze since it was the first time we were able to see all of our loved ones after the ceremony. If you want to listen to the music that was pumping through the boom box, here’s the playlist from cocktail hour. Sound Wave Backdrop For the escort cards we had each guest’s name written on white cassette tapes that were spread out on a table behind a sound wave backdrop. The sound wave was made from guitar strings that were anchored around tiny nails and was a visual representation of our first dance song, Seaside by The Kooks. Later in the night we turned it into a photo booth backdrop. Our Wedding Music Here’s a peak into the soundtrack we chose for our wedding.
- Processional – Sea of Love by Cat Power
- Recessional – Can’t Feel My Face by The Weeknd
- First Dance – Seaside by The Kooks
- Father/Daughter & Mother/Son Dance – In My Life by The Beatles
